اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلٰى اٰلِ سَيِّدِنَا وَمَوْلَانَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَاةً تُنْجِيْنَا بِهَا مِنْ جَمِيْعِ الْاَهْوَالِ وَالْآفَاتِ وَتَقْضِي لَنَا بِهَا جَمِيْعَ الْحَاجَاتِ وَتُطَهِّرُنَا بِهَا مِنْ جَمِيْعِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَتَرْفَعُنَا بِهَا عِنْدَكَ أَعْلَى الدَّرَجَاتِ وَتُبَلِّغُنَا بِهَا أَقْصَى الْغَايَاتِ مِنْ جَمِيْعِ الْخَيْرَاتِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ وَبَعْدَ الْمَمَاتِ اِنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ

History and Background

Durood-e-Tunajjina (or Tunjina) is named from the Arabic word 'tunajjina' meaning 'which saves us'. According to tradition, a pious man named Sheikh Musa Zareer experienced a severe storm at sea. He was inspired in a dream to recite this Durood 1000 times, after which the storm subsided. It is widely recited for deliverance from troubles and fulfillment of needs.
